Story #1

As I said, I have started writing a story. I'm not going to name it quite yet, and I am making it up as I go along, with your help (polls). Here is the prologue:

PROLOGUE

     My eyes flew open.
Well, I must have dozed off. I gazed at all the hurrying people around me. I rose off of the bench I was sitting on.
I was in a shopping mall? How long was I asleep? As long and hard as I thought, I couldn't remember how or why I got here.
Duh, I came here to shop, why else?
Logic told me that was the right answer, but still there was a feeling... a very tiny feeling from the back of my mind, telling me that something... something wasn't quite right.
Logic pushed that feeling away. I am in a shopping mall, I might as well shop. I started towards the nearest store.

After a few hours, I got bored. I decided I didn't really need to buy anything. Just as I was leaving a clothing store, I noticed one of the employees --he looked in his 20's, with short brown hair and green eyes-- glaring at me. I wasn't really sure what to do, so I just spun around, and left. Looking back, I saw him turn away, shake his head, and go on with his duties.
     Something looked familiar about him.
As I neared the exit, another employee, this one was bald with angered brown eyes, his face a scowl, stood in my way.
     "Can I get past, sir?"
     "Did you pay for that?"
     "What?"
"That." He pointed towards a golden-colored watch around my right wrist. I didn't really notice it. I didn't remember paying for it, but it did look familiar...
"Did you, or what?" He looked like he was about to explode. "That costs hundreds of dollars."
"I did." I lied. Well, it was the best thing I could think of.
The bald man laughed an evil chuckle. "Nice lie, kid. Hand it over."
     "I... it's mine." I stuttered.
     "I can call security."
"What's so important about this watch?" I asked.
     "You stole it."
"No, I didn't." I held fast to my word. What was so important? I didn't steal it.
"Mark, keep this kid here, I'm getting security."
The other employee, Mark, came over and forced me into a chair.
As I was about to speak, he slammed an object, it felt like metal, into my head, knocking me out.

That's the prologue! Not bad for about 10 or so minutes... tell me what you think!
